TI VERDE: O CASO DE UMA INDÚSTRIA DE COMPUTADORES DO RN

Resumo

 Este trabalho visa descrever as práticas da TI Verde através de um estudo de caso em uma Indústria do Rio Grande de Norte, destacando seus significados e relações com os aspectos que contribuem para o fortalecimento da abordagem explorada pela TI Verde. O objetivo desta pesquisa é compreender as práticas da TI Verde para um ambiente sustentável. A metodologia da pesquisa recorreu a uma análise qualitativa dos dados, dispondo de uma entrevista semi-estruturada. Como conclusão, tem-se que a TI Verde é um assunto recente e em evolução quanto as suas contribuições nos aspectos que evidenciam a competitividade empresarial, o que foi evidenciado pela Indústria pesquisada. Foi identificado também através da pesquisa aplicada que o uso da TI Verde contribui para a conscientização sobre as limitações dos recursos ambientais, bem como o desenvolvimento de novas práticas que evidenciem a redução do impacto das atividades resultantes da TI junto ao meio ambiente.GREEN IT: THE CASE OF COMPUTER INDUSTRY OF RIO GRANDE DO NORTEThis paper aims to describe the practices of Green IT through a case study in an industry of Rio Grande do Norte, highlighting their meanings and relations with the issues that contribute to the strengthening of the explored approach by Green IT. The objective of this research is to understand the practices of Green IT to a sustainable environment. The research methodology used a qualitative analysis, featuring a semi-structured interview. As a conclusion, that the Green IT is a matter of recent developments and how their contributions in the aspects that show business competitiveness, which was evidenced by the industry under investigation. It was also identified through applied research that the use of Green IT contributes to the awareness of the limitations of environmental resources and the development of new practices that demonstrate the reduction of the impact of activities resulting from IT with the environment.
